The division remains one of the largest employers in the country and continuously contributes towards job creation by making individuals employable within the division and in other related sectors in the market through its various skills development initiatives.

The foundation focuses on inspiring hope and encourages children who are ill, the ability to dream.
The foundation also offers various support projects such as camps, outings, boy and girl based activities as well as in-hospital care programs, all of which positively impact the lives of 40,000 children annually.
THE PRESIDENT'S AWARD
The President’s Award for youth empowerment is proud to be The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award in South Africa. It is an internationally recognised programme that exists to equip the youth of South Africa to succeed in life and work. It offers young people, aged 14-24, the opportunity to develop their character, discover their purpose, and determine their future to contribute to building a better South Africa for all.
Participants progress at their own pace through three levels, viz Bronze, Silver, and Gold. There are four sections that must be done for a specified minimum period of time and this includes service, physical recreation, skills, adventurous journey, and a residential project for gold participants.
